How the leaves turn and the hearts shatter

It's break-up season! But worry not. We've put together a playlist to help you get through the tough times ahead.

Fall is amazing for a number of reasons: the beautiful colours, the comfy sweaters, the thigh-high boots, the feeling of your hands cupping a warm cup of coffee (or tea, no judgement).

But as flowers wither, love fades... and hearts shatter. And it's okay to let yourself feel everything you're supposed to feel, for as long as you need to feel it.

Worry not, I'm here to help you feel all of your feelings, thanks to a little break-up playlist I've put together. Over 7 hours and 30 minutes worth of break-up songs (perhaps it's time I start re-evaluating how I spend my time)!

I started working on it a while back, when I was going through a tough break-up myself.

For what felt like an abnormal amount of time, grief came and went in waves. For the better part of it, I was just bargaining with myself. I thought about the past so often that I felt like maybe I stayed there. It was as if time had passed by me, but never through me.

Most of my friends would be shocked in the face of so much attachment. They couldn't understand why I was having such a hard time letting go. So, I took refuge in lyrics and melodies, as it so often happened before.

Which is why I can assure you that this playlist is everything you never knew you needed.

You'll find the "ball-your-eyes-out" songs, the ultimate classics (yes - I'm referring to Driver's Licence, All too well), the "I'm-so-over-this" phase, the "I-thought-I-was-over-this-but-I'm-not" phase... everything down to Miley's latest hit Flowers.

And as an added bonus, it comes in different languages and different styles, so you're sure to find everything you need.

I hope you find everything you're looking for, and wish you a pleasant listen!
